MIRROR MIRROR Playback Theatre's first performances, as a part of the 'Upstairs at the Globe' theatre nights in Exeter were all received enthusiastically. Subsequent work has included performances across the south-west of England, including Exeter Text festival, The Westcountry Storytelling festival, the Barbican Theatre, Plymouth and Port Eliot Lit Fest. and at the New Diorama Theatre in London. We give public performances for audiences in Exeter, Totnes and Plymouth. We have performed in the Ukraine and Frankfurt at the European and International Playback Theatre Conferences. We regularly perform for refugee and asylum seekers in Plymouth
Both Alison and Amanda have undertaken extensive training and are registered Playback practitioners in the UK and abroad also running Tarte Noire and Playback Theatre South West. MIRROR MIRROR Playback Theatre Company provide bespoke theatre performances for organisations and businesses. Playback Theatre supports organisations to conduct consultation, and gain greater understanding of individuals and employees experiences. To date we have performed at events, training seminars and conferences for Plymouth City Council, the Eddystone Trust, Exeter and Plymouth Universities Departments of Clinical Psychology, Dorset Mental Health Forum and Somerset County Council, Adult Learning disability services in Torbay and Plymouth, NHS Primary Care Trusts, Voice Charity and CAMHS supporting events that have covered themes ranging from diversity, mental health services, service user engagement, HIV and aids, mens health, children in care, and citizenship.
