MIRROR MIRROR Playback Theatre was formed in 2005 with the intention of bringing this exciting and innovative theatre form to audiences in the Southwest of England.

MIRROR MIRROR Playback Theatre is dedicated to listening to people's stories and transforming them spontaneously into theatre. Playback Theatre aims to create a ritual space where every voice and any story--however ordinary, extraordinary, hidden or difficult--might be heard and told.

MIRROR MIRROR Playback Theatre is--Andy Blackwell, Amanda Brown, Arnet Donkin, Alison Fairlove, and Kate Hewitt.

Both Alison and Amanda have undertaken extensive training and are registered Playback practitioners in the UK and abroad. They are able to offer training for those wishing to develop Playback theatre skills. Click on the link to Playback Theatre Southwest for more details.

MIRROR MIRROR Playback Theatre's first performances, as a part of the 'Upstairs at the Globe' theatre nights in Exeter were all received enthusiastically, subsequent work has included performances across the south and south-west of England, including Exeter Text festival, The Westcountry Storytelling festival, the Barbican Theatre, Plymouth and Port Eliot Lit Fest. The company can be seen regularly every Third Thursday in Totnes and are currently actively seeking a regular performance opportunity in Plymouth. Watch this space for further news!

MIRROR MIRROR Playback Theatre Company can provide bespoke workshop performances for organisations and businesses. Playback Theatre can support organisations wishing to consult with service users, to help in gaining greater understanding of individuals and employees experiences within organisations and companies supporting organisational review. To date we have performed at events, training seminars and conferences for Plymouth City Council, the Eddystone Trust, Exeter University Department of Clinical Psychology, Dorset Mental Health Forum and Somerset County Council supporting events that have covered themes ranging from diversity, mental health services, service user engagement, HIV and aids, and citizenship.
